RESPONSIBLE WASTE MANAGEMENT WITH
ZERO WASTE TO LANDFILL & RECYCLING

At Boost Print & Display Ltd we take our commercial waste responsibilities seriously. For this reason we have a long standing partnership with Briers Waste Management, local and reputable waste management and metal recycling specialists. By partnering with Briers, their commitment to reach the holy grail of Zero Waste to Landfill was reached over 10 years ago. A shared fundamental objective that underpins our processes.

Briers are licensed by the Environment Agency and manage our waste to ISO 14001 – 2015 and using ISO 9001 management systems, ensuring Best Environmental Practice and methods to recycle and recover our waste.

ISO 14001 – 2015 is typically regarded as the most widely-recognised environmental management system standard in the world. An accredited company must demonstrate its commitment to controlling the environmental impact of its activities, maintaining compliance with environmental legislation or enhancing the potential environmental benefit of its products or services.

This gives our customers a guarantee that their waste is recycled and not put into landfill.

PROMOTING SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT
FOR A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT

Our main supplies come from companies who are active members of the WWF-UK Forest and Trade Network, committed to responsible sourcing of paper and board based products.

All suppliers of paper and board must also be FSC and/or PEFC certified.

Being FSC certified shows that you comply with the highest social and environmental standards on the market. As public concerns about the state of the world’s forests and timber resources increases, FSC provides a credible solution to complex environmental and social issues.

PEFC has recognised certification systems in 36 countries. Together these account for over 264 million hectares of certified forests, making PEFC the world’s largest forest and wood product certification system.

We measure other suppliers against those practices because we are committed to using environmentally responsible consumables and substrates as a priority. Where possible, we educate and encourage our customers to favour recyclable polypropylenes rather than PVCs.

We also support local waste management firm Briers who have developed a twenty acre wildlife habitat, including lakes along with the planting of over 2000 native British trees. This approach helps towards off setting our waste carbon footprint.

COMMITMENT TO REDUCING
SOLVENT BASED INKS

Boost Print Display has been committed to year on year reduction of solvent based inks and derivatives. Boost Print Display are proud to announce that we have reduced our usage from almost 100% solvent based inks down to less than 1%, by using U.V. Cure, ECO and water based technologies. Investment in these new print and ink technologies are considerably less harmful to the environment.
